Frequently Asked Questions
Are Film and chemicals included?
Yes, for all film photography and darkroom courses, film, chemistry and paper are included. I also provide aprons, gloves and masks.
Who are the courses suitable for?
My courses are suitable for any level from beginners to intermediate to advanced level photographers.
What camera do I need?
For digital courses, any suitable modern digital SLR will do. You can use a bridge or compact camera but bear in mind you won’t have the flexibility of a DSLR.
For all film courses, unless you want to use your own camera, I provide film cameras in 35mm, medium format and large format.
Can you cater for someone in a wheelchair?
Yes – for digital and studio/still life courses this is no problem. My studio is accessible and there is WC access suitable for wheelchair users. Yes – for some Victorian processes as this is a camera-less process done mostly outdoors. For darkroom courses, this is possible but is highly unlikely to be suitable for the majority of wheelchair users. This is due to the height of the darkroom sinks and enlargers. If you are considering a darkroom course then this has to be carefully considered and strictly in line with your needs/capabilities. Please send me details of your needs and I will do my best to accommodate you and let you know if it is possible.
